Dupahiya Season 2 (Prime Video)

The Hindi comedy-drama returns to the village of Dhadakpur, which is no longer crime-free. Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Sparsh Shrivastava, Bhuvan Arora and Shivani Raghuvanshi return, with Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua) joining the cast.

Sardar 2 (Prime Video)

Karthi plays a double role in this Tamil spy thriller — a RAW agent seen in flashback and his police-inspector son pursuing a villain called “Black Dagger”. S.J. Suryah, Malavika Mohanan and Ashika Ranganath co-star. It reached cinemas on September 10.

Pooja Meri Jaan (ZEE5)

Mrunal Thakur and Huma Qureshi lead this Hindi drama about a woman whose life unravels after a suspicious death, as conflicting versions of the truth emerge. Directed by Navjot Gulati.

Mandaadi and Enna Vilai (Netflix)

Two Tamil films arrived on Netflix after cinema runs: Mandaadi, a boat-racing sports drama with Soori and Suhas, and Enna Vilai, a legal drama in which a Rameswaram fisherman is falsely accused and a lawyer takes his case, starring Karunas and Nimisha Sajayan.

Reporting Live (Netflix)

A Netflix original film with Parineeti Chopra as a young reporter who, with her cameraman, investigates illegal sand mining. The cast includes Amol Palekar, Adil Hussain, Deven Bhojani and Shekhar Suman.

VisionQuest (JioHotstar)

Marvel’s eight-episode series follows Vision, in hiding, exploring his identity and going on the run after a bounty is placed on him. Paul Bettany and James Spader star. In India it streams on JioHotstar; in most other countries it is on Disney+.

Not confirmed yet

Keerthy Suresh’s Tamil film Dorothy has been widely reported for a late-October Netflix release, but neither Netflix nor the makers had confirmed a date when we checked. We’ll add it once it’s official.
