This policy explains how SBN Live (“we”, “us”) handles personal information on sbnlive.net. We aim to comply with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR and US state privacy laws.

Information we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you choose, your message and your consent confirmation — used only to reply to you.
  • Comments: name, email (not published), comment, IP address and browser user-agent, used for moderation and spam prevention. An anonymised string created from your email (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to show your profile picture.
  • Security logs: IP addresses of failed login attempts, kept for a limited time.
  • Server and CDN data: our hosting provider and Cloudflare process IP addresses and technical request data to deliver and protect the site.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site (hosting, Cloudflare, Google, Gravatar, email delivery) or where required by law.

Retention

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Comments remain until removed. Security logs are kept for a short period.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, withdraw consent, or object to processing. Send a request using our contact form with the topic “Privacy request”.

Children

SBN Live is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
